The Salvage Barn
Year-round, Friends of Historic Preservation (FHP) operates the Salvage Barn of architectural and historic building items that are at least 50 years old and no longer are sold commercially. The Salvage Barn serves as a centralized source for the owners of older homes or buildings to find historically appropriate materials for the repair and restoration of their property. In addition, FHP mission helps directly diverts priceless material that may otherwise end up in the landfill.
The Salvage Barn is currently located at the Iowa City Landfill. Soon we will be moving to the new Eastside Recycling Center.

Devotay
Devotay is a local restaurant with the best cuisine and even better ethics. Their menu is seasonal and as local as possible.
Kurt and Kim Friese are dedicated to buying local, sustainability, and supporting the community in which we live. Kurt serves on the Slow Food USA National Board of Directors and his columns and photos on food, wine and travel have appeared regularly in local, regional and national newspapers and magazines. Kim maintains a firm grip on the reins of the Devotay kitchen.

Ardon Creek Winery
Ardon Creek Vineyard and Winery was founded on a 156-year-old family farm with a rich Irish Heritage. They proudly carry on family traditions of good stewardship of the land and promote a people working together to produce a quality product.
Ardon Creek is a family owned and managed operation established by Mike Furlong and his son, Chad Furlong, in 2008 to fulfill the promise of community and farm revitalization. Day-to-day vineyard and winery operations are managed by Mike, his wife Diane Furlong and a crew of local community members.
The vineyard is 4.1 acres in size and includes five varieties of hard-hardy grape vines. Our grapes are red - Concord, Noiret, Chancellor and white - Edelweiss and LaCrosse. Their own juice is supplemented by the same varieties from the Finger Lakes wine region of New York. All of our wines are vinted, cellared and bottled in our own winery.
